This is a compound Dispalcement-amplifying Compliant Mechanism (DaCM) with three stages of amplification, all integrated into one. When we move the flat portion in the middle of the bottom edge, the flat part in the middle of the top edge shows much amplification. This was used to amplify the stroke of electrostatic microactuators by Prof. Sridhar Kota.
