    Download 99-line Matlab code for topology optimization of 2D plane-stress structure here . Your task is to study the code after you derive the optimality condition analytically by starting with the topology optimization problem statement, takign variation to get the design and adjoint equations, and then clearly outlining the optimality criteria method including the inner loop to determine the Lambda value. A clear flow-chart will fetch you extra points.

    Derive the Rayleigh quotient for the natural frequency of a plate. You already know the expression for the strain energy of a plate.
