    Another geodesic problem: As shown in the figure, given two points (A and B) on the outside wall and one point (C) on the inside wall of a cylindrical well, one has to go from A to C and then to B along a least-distance path. Find and sketch such a path. Neglect the width of the wall.

    Formulate the above problem as an unconstrained minimization prolem in two variables and draw its contours in a 2D plane.

    Solve the two-variable optimization problem using Matlab's optimization tool-box.Verify the necessary and sufficient conditions for the minimum that you find.
