Due: Feb. 11, 2014
Points: 20
Additional points for work that is beyond instructor's expectation!
Look up Homework #1 of 2010 offering of this course and the solution posted there to know what is meant by "beyond instructor's expectation".

  1. 20 points
Take any four four problems from Lecture 3 slides and find the variation(s) with respect to the variable(s) involved. Extra points if we choose interesting and difficult problems. Extra points if you choose problems not in Lecture 3.

In all cases, neatly write the problem statement in the manner we do in the class. That makes grading easy (for you and us)!
