  1. 7 + 7 + 7 = 21 points
    For each of the functionals below, write the Euler-Lagrange equations including the boundary conditions.
  2. 3 + 3 + 3 = 9 points
    Give a physical situation for each of the three problems above (J1, J2, and J3). That is, for what problem the minimization of j1, J2, and J3 makes sense? Interpret the boundary conditions and the differential equation too.
