Requirement for Project Scientist-I

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, is looking for candidates with Ph.D degree to work as project scientist in a project involving research in IC engines and hydrogen combustion.

Qualification: Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering with Thermal Sciences/Energy specialization, with specific experience in IC Engines/Combustion.  Bright and motivated candidates with prior experience are preferred.

Salary: Emoluments will be fixed based on the qualification and experience.

Duration: Initially for four months and extendable to one year depending upon satisfactory performance.

Requirements: Knowledge or experience in Engine testing and performance, automotive combustion, CFD, etc.

Department of Mechanical Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, is looking for candidates with BE/B.Tech/M.Sc. or relevant degree to work as project associate in a project involving research in catalyst preparations, catalyst characterization techniques, fuel synthesis in slurry reactor and alternative fuels.

Qualification: M.Sc./B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/ Chemistry or equivalent. Bright and motivated candidates with M.E/M.Tech qualification may also be considered.

Salary: Emoluments will be fixed based on the qualification and experience as per DST/IISc norms.

Duration: Initially for four months and extendable to one year depending upon satisfactory performance.

Requirements: Knowledge or experience in autoclave reactors, high pressure slurry reactors, catalysts preparation and characterization techniques, reactor design, Gas Chromatography, Matlab programming, Aspen Plus etc.
