Department Student Research Committee (DSRC)

Department Student Research Committee (DSRC) was formed in July 2020. While Department Curriculum Committee (DCC) is a formal Institute-appointed body to deal with curricular matters, DSRC is an informal student-centric body to help students participate in research related activities beyond what they learn in their respective research groups. The mandate of DSRC is as follows.
The Department Student Research Committee (DSRC) deals with miscellaneous student academic and research activities, other than those that are a part of the mandatory curriculum of the Research Training Programme and fall within the purview of the Department Curriculum Committee (DCC). The DSRC will coordinate annual work presentations of research students,  annual research symposia as well as conduct periodic research seminars for students. Seminars will vary in scope, from distinguished invited speakers to faculty and student colloquia. Additionally, the committee will host discussions and lecture series on various subjects of relevance to research students’ intellectual growth as well as ethics in research and research communication skills.
